Man in Philadelphia alias pleads guilty to forged drafts
In Ricamonp on May 5 a man claiming to be W. H. Michael of Philadelphia alias Jas. C. Virtue was indicted for forging drafts totaling 30000 to buy local farms. He refused counsel, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced by the Hastings Court to two years in the penitentiary after witnesses, including the real W. H. Michael, testified.
Memorial services honor Bishop Ames in Boston church
