In Pittsburg a quarrel in First Reformed Presbyterian Church over Rev. Florin Woodside’s election led to a full scale brawl. Woodside gained admission after an injunction but clashes involved trustees teachers and rival clergy. Dauphin Case Dismissed Then Amended Complaint Filed

Last night a Union freight line train on the Pennsylvania Railroad broke apart while descending a mountain grade. The rear section overtook the front at a crossing and struck it with great force. five cars left the track. Brakeman H. D. Hoover died instantly.

A. Sterling of Ebenezer reports his store and adjoining warehouse burned Friday night. Losses exceed $1,500 with no insurance. About 500 bushels of grain destroyed. 60 to 75 bushels of wheat saved. A gang of Wetzel county Red men robbed W. J. Umpley’s store in Ty ler county of four to five thousand dollars. The owner was knocked senseless gagged and bound during the ambush.
