Armistence on Madison Parish Abduction Reported
The Carroll reports David Armstrong a colored tenant on the Moraney place near Milli ken's Bend Madison parish was seized from his home by 25 to 30 men Sunday night before the election. Over twenty shots were fired and a bloodied sheet found riverbank next morning. A body is said to have been recovered and buried, contradicting earlier accounts.

Nitro-glycerine magazine explodes near Fox Island
A nitro-glycerine and mica powder magazine on Fox Island, opposite Amue Erst BurgH Ontario, exploded last night with a terrific report. The blast shook the town, broke many plate-glass windows, and was felt 40 miles away in Leamington and Ruthven and along the Canada Southern Railroad line. About three tons of nitro-glycerine were stored there. cause unknown but likely due to waters leaving fire on the island reaching the magazine.
Indians dispute Crow involvement in Fort Peck murders
May Walsh of Cypress Hills denies Sioux refugees killed interpreter Lambert and family at Fort Peck. She says evidence traces the crime to Crow Indians. Three Crow suspects are jailed and two more are sought by Gen. Miles.
Tennessee murder at Plum Island over wage dispute
Memphis report says David Norman a wood constructor killed Morris Smith a chopper at Plum Island last Sunday after Smith raised an ax. Norman fired once hitting Smith in the chest, and was exonerated.
