The second annual Indiana State Fair will run September 11 to 15 in Indianapolis with a revised prize list totaling 30000 dollars across all departments. Entries close September 1 and prize lists are available from Secretary Charles Downing at the State House.
In Knights Town two rival brewers clash as William Reesor known as Little Billes is charged with grand larceny for stealing cash registers fixtures and liquor from saloons run by Indianapolis Brewing Co. Inspectors traced goods to a barn near W Ma street. Reesor waives preliminary hearing and is bound over to the grand jury with $500 bond amid fears the dispute may block new licenses and renewals between Haute Brewing Co and Indianapolis firms.
