Collision Ends Lives of Cyclists at State Fair Race
Nashville Sept 28 The grandstand crowd at the Negro State fair witnessed a tragic wreck when an automobile and a motorcycle collided on the track. Marion Ward 19 white and George Moreland 24 negro were killed instantly as they were hurled into the front of the car. Three Negro occupants of the auto escaped unharmed. A professional motorcycle rider said the machine was traveling at least 65 mph. The accident occurred just after a motorcycle stunt act had finished.
