Cotton grower co operative organizations from Georgia Louisiana Missouri Oklahoma Arizona Tennessee and South Carolina filed identical complaints with the Interstate Commerce Commission alleging railroad rates on cotton to main marketing and exporting centers are excessive unjust and unreasonable The commission was asked to review the general cotton rate structure and decide changes as its investigation deems desirable.
Raleigh Watkins of Hagerstown now in custody in Martinsburg after police say he confessed to being one of four African American robbers of the Bank of Boyce in Boyce Virginia.
