French Seaman Held by Abductors Is Released
New York reports show a French seaman William Rosen was kidnapped by an international gang of amuy givers and tortured for a month. Federal agents arrested Salvatore Mancuso and his wife Nellie, and Dominick Gelferno of Brooklyn, charging kidnapping and conspiracy as Rosen identified Mancuso as the gang leader and his wife as the cook. One Killed Three Missing in Blast at Embarcadero
