Three Jailed in Tennessee Extortion Case
Three Southeast Missouri men were jailed in default bonds of 50 000 each by Federal Judge Marion Boyd on charges of attempted extortion. Walter Richardson Jr., William R. McIntosh, and Dale Wilton, all of Sikeston, allegedly called Pepper Sound Studios president William Tanner demanding 5 000 to avoid harming Tanner’s brother. The men pleaded not guilty and face trial June 16.
