Former Local Man Held for Shooting Trio

Otto Vincent, 30, formerly of Kingsport, is jailed in Harlan county Ky on a first degree murder charge after a shooting at the Vincent home that killed Mandella Vincent, seven, his daughter, and seriously wounded his wife Ela Vincent and sister Maggie Meadows. Ela Vincent, a Kingsport resident, was brought to Kingsport General Hospital with three bullet wounds, while Maggie Meadows suffered two gunshot injuries. Both women are listed in serious but improving condition. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Vincent provided the account of events before the report continued on page eight.
