Auxiliary Initiates Seven Members at Byrd Auxiliary
The Charles DeWitt Byrd Auxiliary of VW Post No 382 initiated seven new members and accepted transfers of Mrs. Irene Sharrett and Mrs. Ruth McKechan. Initiates include Mrs. Blake W. Band students honor retiring director with surprise party gifts
Ross N. Robinson Junior High students and alumni raised funds to celebrate Mrs. Charles Beal as she resigns. A surprise postconcert gathering presented two bouquets and silver gifts, including plates and a water pitcher. Gifts commemorated classes from 36061 to 1962-63 with items from eighth and ninth grade bands and majorettes. An estimated crowd paid tribute to a long-serving East Tennessee educator.
