Houston May 14 The Southern Baptist relief and annuity board asked John D Rockefeller to contribute about 200000 for relief of superannuated ministers. Rockefeller already gave 100000, boosting the fund beyond 1500000. The board would match donations to reach 2000000 and noted 1183 dependents including 11 ministers, 424 widows and 150 children had benefited with 141827.31 spent. The annuity now pays 500 yearly for disability or retirement at 68, with a plan to raise to 609 and up to 50 percent of average service salary.
