Growers Vote On Fate Of Barley Sales Quotas
Barley tobacco growers in all barley producing areas go to the polls Tuesday to approve or reject poundage controls on the 1971 1972 and 1973 crops. If two thirds of the voters support the proposal bucky controls will shift from acreage quotas for the first time. If more than one third reject the proposal there will be no marketing controls on the 1971 crop for the first time in about 80 years.
