The House was to convene at noon and the Senate at 12:30 pm while Gedric Hunt said he would not reopen the journal. Mob Fails to Find Mulatto Attacker in Belfry Murder
In Little Rock a mob of up to five thousand searched jails and the state penitentiary after Lonnie Rixon, a 16 year old Negro, confessed to attacking and killing 12 year old Ploolin McDonald at the Belfry of the First Presbyterian Church.
