First federal execution under 1934 act in Indiana
George W. Barrett, a crippled Kentucky feudist, died by hanging on the gallows in the Marion county jail yard at Indianapolis. Memphis faced a sudden midday storm that tore through the city leaving four dead and four injured. Budget's Passage by House Seen in Frankfort
