County bread baking event draws 70 participants
More than 70 girls took part in the county bread baking event on March 8 with Barbara Henninger of East High winning yeast breads and Louise Miller of Blounsville Junior High finishing second. Junior division winners included Toreta Reeves and Beth Weikel in corn meal muffins and biscuits respectively. Charley Worley of Bluff City Mills presented prizes and donated a money award.
