4 H Charter Letters and registration forms for Share the Fun have gone out to all clubs. The competition is set for March 31 at Blountville High School auditorium. Registrations are due by March 17. Brenda Cox spoke on 4 H experiences, and Eva Jane Snyder and Teresa Rouse demonstrated food prep techniques. Camp Girls program runs June 25 to June 30 with a $9 fee due by May 1.

A meeting for prospective tomato growers is planned in the Appalachian Power Company auditorium at 7 30 p m with Scott County Agent Sexton Burkett announcing Robert Horne of a Bristol tomato distributors office will discuss vine ripe tomatoes and potential contracts. If 50 acres are contracted across Lee Scott Wise Dickenson and Russell counties a packing plant could be built in Wise. North Carolina growers have built a 2 million industry and earn 2500 to 8300 per acre, some up to 5000. All interested should attend.
