Negro Run Down by Ford Touring Car

John Bailey, colored, was knocked down and run over by a Ford touring car driven by Homer Tate at Sullivan and Boone streets yesterday at 2:30 PM. Bailey suffered possible internal injuries but no broken bones. Tate claimed brakes failed and speed was 4 to 5 mph. The case was compromised out of court with no indictment.
