Ford touring car stolen from Kingsport Motor Co salesroom
W H Mills, manager of the Kingsport Motor Company, reported the theft of a 1919 Ford touring car from the Main Street salesrooms Saturday night. The thief entered through a broken rear window, drove the car down to the street, and left via the rear entrance unbolted. A description was sent to police across the region as license number was not remembered.

Shirley E. Miller Dies of Pneumonia at 82
Shirley E. Miller, an engineer at Kingsport Pulp Corporation, died at home in Pulp Village Sunday night after a short illness from double pneumonia. A Bristol native, he was 82 and survived by his wife and four children. The body was taken to Bristol for burial. Funeral services will be held at Central Presbyterian Church with burial in East Hill Cemetery.

Mrs Melaina A Stone wife of L L Stone died Sunday morning at her Boone Street home of cerebral apoplexy. She is survived by her husband seven sons and one daughter. The body will be taken to Cold Springs near Bristol for burial tomorrow.

Former Kingsport jeweler arrested in Cincinnati
Ww. Cc. Schinkal, ex Kingsport jeweler, whose business was sold in December to satisfy creditors, was arrested in Cincinnati by Deputy Sheriff Flora on a charge of removing mortgaged goods from the state. J. W. Wyatt alleges Schinkal sold him an interest for 8500 and then took diamonds and valuables from the firm. Wyatt says he lost 3500 as stock was mortgaged. Schinkal, said to have left Kingsport without notice, was located working as a hotel clerk and will be returned for trial once extradition papers are signed.

Major R W Schroeder chief test pilot at McCook Field fell more than five miles from an altitude near 36020 feet during a high speed ascent.
