Mine Operators Lewis Sign New Coal Contract

Washington P J L Lewis and most soft coal operators signed a new coal contract adding a $1 daily wage increase and doubling miners welfare pension fund payments. The agreement preserves most terms of the prior wage pact including a union shop.
