Bus Routes at Knoxville Are Object of Attack
Nashville June 25. Details of 12 proposed routes of the Knoxville Motor Coach Company were outlined to the railroad and public utilities commission by B. H. Thomas of Knox county. He faced prolonged cross examination by Charles M. Seymour as the Tennessee Public Service Company opposes the routes. Thomas detailed checks showing 10 802 houses, 36 churches, 22 schools and 338 stores across 544 miles and 701 blocks. He estimated populations ranging from 31 406 to 54 910 depending on family size. He spoke of prior jobs and his army service as motor sergeant in Hawaii.
