Newark New Jersey June 16 AP a heated campaign for the Republican senate seat with three contenders Ambassador W Morrow former Senator Frelinghuysen and Representative Franklin D Fort. Prohibition is central with Morrow urging repeal while Frelinghuysen supports federal control and Fort running on a dry platform backed by Anti-Saloon leagues. White House statements denied any pledge to favor a candidate amid claims from supporters of Hart and Kelinghuygen.
