Indictments of Leopold and Loeb Return by Grand Jury
Chicago June 6 two indictments charging Nathan Leopold Jr and Richard Loeb with kidnapping for ransom and murder of Robert Franks were returned by the grand jury both youths ordered held without bail. The grand jury heard 71 witnesses and returned true bills for murder and kidnapping and a possible third indictment for conspiracy to murder. The ar raignment will likely be Wednesday with formal arrest to follow after habeas corpus writs.
