Mother and seven prefer death to poor house
Nelsonville Ohio July 31 seven children aged six weeks to ten years and their mother Mrs Toney Straviscar were found burned or died of asphyxiation in their Kimberly home. Authorities planned to move them to the Allen County Home when the tragedy occurred. The room had coal oil sprinkled and the children bound to beds. Police believe the mother may have killed the children and herself to avoid placement.
