In Los Angeles on July 28 AP reports Dr Gladwin Nichols a self exiled leader of a group from Angelus Temple urged reopening of the famous kidnap case. He asked that the trial be held before a court composed of Temple members to hear the matter.
In Los Angeles on July 28 a dry agent confessed to killing a companion over a love pact amid a clash between Mrs Minnie Kennedy and Aimee Sample McPherson. The Kennedy family conflict involved multiple proposals for Mrs Kennedy's role at Angeles Temple and her relation to her husband W. Whitbeck.

The panel, led by A Lawrence Lowell, MIT president Samuel Stratton, and ex probate judge Robert Grant, appears to have concluded. The governor’s independent inquiry continues with more witness interviews and juror talks amid a new forty page statement from Bartolomeo Vanzetti.
One hundred eighty five college men who attended the Reserve Officers Training Camp at Fort Monroe left Newport News today for their homes after completing this year’s course. They were trained in anti-aircraft guns small arms and the big guns at Fort Monroe.
W. W. Register, 19, fractured neck in a July 12 swim fall near Florence, underwent a last resort operation July 18 to relieve spinal pressure. W C Brideman first lord of the admiralty and Viscount Cecil, heads of the British delegation, arrives in Geneva after a week in London in conference with the cabinet.
