In Macon Georgia a 20 year old woman identified Wilmer Galloway as the man who killed her husband, robbed the body, and shot her in the mouth near Milan. Galloway and two others were captured after a mob threatened Bibb County jail. the couple from Alamo were en route to Perry when attacked at a roadside station. Mrs Andrews, gravely wounded, was treated at a Eastman hospital. The search followed a tar smeared suspect and a lengthy manhunt by a 30 man posse.
