Chicago July 20 United Press The United States Railway Labor Board announced wage increases totaling 600 million annually for 1 894 287 employees. Sixteen crafts leaders met at 11 am to discuss the awards and future acceptance or rejection decisions. Judge R M Barton distributed pamphlets and chaired a conference with union heads and board chair E T Whiter. Increases include 8 cents a day for passenger engineers and helpers 1 04 for freight engineers carmen and helpers 18 cents an hour for yard crews and 30 dollars a month for passenger conductors.

Owen B. Sharrett aged 52 died at his home 833 Sullins Street Bristol from a complication of diseases after eighteen months of declining health. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. at the home with Rev. N M Watson and two others officiating, followed by burial at East Hill Cemetery.
