Federal agents and police throughout the midwest pursue a kidnapper who abducted Miss Nettie Costin after a robbery and binding. Costin freed herself by sawing bonds after being driven to a tree eight miles south of French Lick Indiana. her escort John Schachtel, 26, was bound to a tree on a Louisville golf course. The abductor, about 25, 5 feet 9 inches, 170 pounds, with a star and blackjack tattoo on his left wrist, left Costin at around 3 am after forcing her into another car.
