Francis Brovenburg of South Carolina will head the service to provide day by day hour by hour information to grocers distributors and buyers. The area is expected to yield 51.1 million bushels this season with Pennsylvania leading at 2,120,000 bushels excluding California and Washington.
Washington report says easing milk rules could lower prices for about one fourth of U S producers by roughly 48 cents per hundred pounds and boost consumption by about 250 million pounds annually.
