George Putt Ratliffe a 27 year old Fordtown farmer was arraigned before Judge T Hurst on murder charges in the death of 74 year old Pactolus cattle trader John Hill. Three Youths Die In Electric Chair Killed Motorman
Chester, July 9 AP Three youths died in the electric chair at the Southern Minors penitentiary for the murder of a 61 year old street car motorman. John Krul 21 was pronounced dead at 12 14 p m Central Standard Time three minutes after the first shock. Five minutes later Edward Balling 19 was executed and Van Buren Dedmon 25 followed as the last. They had been convicted of killing William Mesa during an attempted robbery February night.
