Cattle prices held firm across most classes amid tight high grade slaughter stock. Lambs advanced sharply with Nashv ille spring lambs leading gains up to 28 dollars per hundred. Broiler prices steady near 20 cents per pound. Regional markets showed mixed to higher weekly closes with several zones posting gains from 4 to 14 cents in week totals. Supplies remained limited at many markets while Midwest demand lagged for some classes and hogs. Fresh fruit and vegetable shipments were moderate with Georgia cantaloupes lighter and peaches up marginally.

KNOXVILLE The farm owner tenant or operator who buys gasoline for use on a farm may claim a refund of three cents per gallon purchased between July 1 1966 and July 1 1957. Two tenths per gallon may be claimed on each gallon purchased for farm use after 1955 and before July 1 1956.
