Four Arrested In Tuesday Moonshine Raids Near Kingsport
In a pre holiday cleanup, Tuesday afternoon, federal, state, and county officers confiscated 33 gallons of moonshine whiskey and arrested four men near Kingsport. The suspects Carl McClain, Jack Burke, Al Owens, and George Washington Hubbard were taken to Jonesboro for arraignment before the United States commissioner and will face federal trial.

Church Hill Woman Injured In Wreck
Mrs J E Larkins 53 of Church Hill route 1 was admitted to Halston Valley Community hospital after an auto crash near Church Hill. She suffered a fracture of the right forearm. Also injured were Miss Jeannie Larkins 28 treated for abrasions and bruises but not admitted. Hubert Moses 1014 Lamont received a left wrist fracture from a fall at home.

Kingsport July 4 Parade to Surpass Expectations
The Kingsport annual July 4 parade will feature six bands Scouts and two new attractions including the Tennessee Home Guard in its first appearance. Veterans in new uniforms will lead with the American Legion color guard followed by Cannonballs clowns. The event begins at 10 30 a m downtown as part of the celebration.
