James MclInturff, 18, was hospitalized with possible fatal wounds after a gun in the hands of G. Ross Gaddy, 18, discharged during a hunting outing near their Unicoi home. The full charge entered the youth's back.

Miss Dora Belle Brown, 18, is dead and T. D. Watts remains seriously wounded after a neighbor prank escalated into gunfire at the Waller apartment. Watts, posing as her husband, told police the joke failed. The Wal lers faced threats involving Mrs Waller after a $1,000 payment to an attorney. An inquest was pending.
Ed Butler of Miami, one of five aboard a plane that plunged into Lake Worth a week earlier, died in a West Palm Beach hospital from injuries suffered in the crash. Three men died and two were injured in the incident.

Oklahoma City January 27 AP Circumstances surrounding the death of Marion Fuller, once chief of police of Earlsboro, the government’s main witness against 102 Pottawatomie county officials and residents, prompted an inquiry. Fuller died in an Oklahoma City hospital from a liver infection after being jailed in Garfield county and later transferred for health reasons. He had admitted participation in the alleged rum rebellion and provided information for the government’s case.
In Chicago on January 27 a slight improvement was reported in the condition of Most Rev. Charles Palmerston Anderson, presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in America, who has been critically ill since a heart attack last Tuesday.
