Planes Take Off on Trip to Cuba
Norfolk Virginia January 20 two squadrons of scouting planes left the naval air station at Hampton Roads for Charleston South Carolina the first lap of a 1260 mile journey to Guantanamo Bay Cuba to join the Atlantic Meet in war maneuvers. The first squadron of six airplanes arrived over Charleston at 2 pm this afternoon circling before alighting. The Wright tender arrived Sunday and had been awaiting the planes delayed by poor lying conditions.
