Woman 79 Dies After Violent Attack and Robbery
Nashville reports Mrs Hat tie Harris aged 79 died in hospital after Tuesday night attack while returning from babysitting. The violence occurred in a four block area with other robberies and beatings, six hours before her discovery by a passerby at the scene. In Chattanooga a 19 year old was killed when a car fell on him after a jack failed at a service station. the victim worked for Mrs Harris.

Young Wife in Fair Condition After Aspirin Overdose
A Kingsport housewife is listed in fair condition at Holston Valley hospital after an overdose of 50 to 60 aspirins Thursday afternoon. She had been in Sessions Court earlier, where her husband faced assault charges that were dismissed by Judge Walter Moody. The woman fled the courtroom in tears, then rode with a taxi to her home. Patrolman Louis Allen assisted at the scene and hospital.
