All Goes Wrong In Robbery Try
DETECTIVE CAPT. Ted Wayne said Roy Alton Lane attempted to rob the Peachtree Bank & Trust in Chamblee Ga. He entered, waved a pistol and ordered money in a sack but had no sack. When a bank employee searched, Lane collapsed and bank workers bound him with rope he had brought. He was held for investigation of attempted bank robbery.

Ex Polk County official alleges deputy in attack
Former Polk County Court chairman James L. Passmore says three to four men beat him during a noon county court recess and plans to sign warrants naming a Polk County deputy who allegedly held him while another slugged him. He cannot name the deputy and cites politics as a motive. Passmore alleges up to 15 assailants. Sheriff McClary was away. investigations by FBI and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are sought.
