A Pivot Club was organized at Borden Mills with 725 employees present for a banquet in the finishing room. Rev Thomas K. Dudney spoke on citizenship, outlining loyalty to community and fair, honest involvement in public life. Officers elected: President Roy Johnson, Vice-President H. M. First Steel Erected on Kingsport Federal Post Office
The first steel on Kingsport's new federal post office building was erected yesterday. Seven beams now tower above the foundation, the entire foundation and first floor are completed. Steel work will be pushed to completion. Brick and concrete progress slowly due to inclement weather. The above ground stories will be brick, stock and concrete construction.
