Paris dispatch reports Marshal Joffre, hero of the Marne, in grave condition as doctors say he is fading. General Isaie visited him shortly before the bulletin noting his slow decline and nurses remain at his side since Saturday.
Paris reports Marshal Joffre, veteran of the Marne, has been fading since Sunday afternoon. Doctors say the end may come within hours as he remains comatose with brief moments of lucidity. He received last rites Friday night as Madame Joffre and Madame Laffle stay at his side.
The North Dakota Capitol building burned yesterday due to suspected defective wiring. Officials estimate losses exceed 1 million dollars with the structure insured for 430000 and contents at 298000, while many records were destroyed and temporary offices prepared for the legislature.
