60 Court Cases Set New High For Kingsport
City court set a new high Monday as 60 persons were fined or had cash bonds forfeited for weekend violations. Public intoxication led with 40 cases. fines reached 15 dollars, 32 others had bonds forfeited at 11 amounts. Three drivers had licenses revoked for a year after being cited for driving while intoxicated. A 7.50 fine for a red light violation stood out among minor penalties. Forfeitures included several hundred dollar parking fines and various traffic violations.
