ABINGDON Virginia Leo A Link is named agronomist to aid burley tobacco growers in Southwest Virginia by Virginia Tech Extension and Research Divisions. He divides time between extension work at the district extension office in Abingdon and research at the Southwest Virginia Research Station in Glade Spring. Link, a Jefferson County Kentucky native, earned a B S from the University of Kentucky in 1947 after WWII service in Africa and Europe and later earned an M A there in 1958. He began research at Joharen in soils and tobacco and moved to a Princeton Kentucky station in 1951.

Keefauver Brothers of Jonesboro impressed at the Virginia State Fair in Urg with over 190 Angus cattle from seven states.
