Paul Redfern launched his Stinson-Detroiter monoplane Port of Brunswick from Glynn Isle Beach at 12 46 PM toward the West Indies in a bid for a nonstop flight to Brazil. He faced a shifting wind on takeoff and climbed to about 150 feet as thousands watched, several fishing boats nearby.

The court rejected the injunction request as to blocking the City Transportation Company’s operation.
