Much Beloved Music Team Split As Homer Dies Of Heart Attack
Henry T. Hayes known as Homer in the Homer and Jethro duo died of a heart attack while preparing for a show. The 51 year old guitarist collapsed in Hammond Indiana and was to be buried Wednesday. Survived by his widow Elizabeth and three children Kenneth, Tracy and Trenton. Services set for 11 pm at Schroeder Lauer funeral home with burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville Indiana.

Dana Cooper a 13 year old mentally retarded boy who vanished for five days in the Sierra mountains was found alive at Truckee California near a campground. He was barefoot and resting in heavy brush. authorities said he suffered exposure and dehydration but was in good condition. He was brought to Tahoe Forest Hospital for treatment and reunited with his parents.

UPI dispatch lists at least ten fatalities across Tennessee from Friday evening to Sunday, including three in Greene County in a single car crash. Victims include John Roger Lane 20 of Afton Wayne Morelock 21 Greeneville Ombra G Jackson 72 Chuckey and others in Dyer McMinn Johnson and Oliver Springs counties.
