Board Approves Eight Street Name Changes on First Reading
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen passed an ordinance on first reading altering eight street names. Changes include Linville Street segments to Norwood Street and Kirkwood Street, Herman Street to Lynbrook Lane, Brentwood Drive to Sandalwood Drive, Spring Street to Westmoreland Avenue, Dewey Street to Dewey Avenue, Lake Avenue to Lake Street, and Old Stage Road to Campbell Street. Two contested changes from Linville extension and Broad Street northern end were omitted after Planning Commission opposition.
