Reward Fund Up In Brutal Slaying Of Georgia Couple
Georgia contributed 3500 to a growing reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer of two teen mountain sweethearts Orville Pete Steele, 19, and Carolyn Newell, 18. The bodies were found on Lookout Mountain after Easter. The fund now totals 1200 with additional gifts from a Lookout Mountain resident and local supporters. Steele was found bound to a tree. Newell’s hands were tied and she appears to have been raped.
