Tennessee production of red meat in January reached 63,277,000 pounds, up 7 percent from December and higher than January last year, marking the 18th straight month of year over year increases. Across the 48 states, January red meat output rose 4 percent to 3,068 million pounds, with beef up 4 percent and veal down slightly from a year earlier but up from December.
