Wesley A Carroll died February 22 after months of illness at his home north of the city. He was about ST years old and eldest son of the Carroll family. Survived by Waidew, Mrs. Pearl Carroll, three children Glenn Kenneth and Mertha, seven relatives and three brothers. Mr A Rhe, motor route carrier for the Charlotte Observer, fractured leg and knee in a fall and remains a patient at Morey Hospital Charlotte.

Funeral services were held at his parents home and burial followed Bethlehem cemetery with American Legion pallbearers. He leaves wife son Jimmy and a large family including four brothers and three sisters.
