Mountaineers Drop Two More
Kings Mountain’s Jafiors extended their skid by losing twice, to Forest City and Steel Creek. Perkins impressed against Forest City but struggled with the breaks as Forest City capitalized on free runs. Merkins relieved Perkins after two straight hits and a sacrifice in the fifth, while Steel Creek held the locals to nine runs. Several players shifted positions late, hampering defense, and Black and Ledford finished at first. The team travels to Charlotte to face the Charlotte Juniors at Griffith Stadium. interested parties should contact Troyano by noon.
