Patriotism drives July 36 draft calls to Port Benge

A July draft call asks 36 men to report July 13 to Port Benge for induction into the army. Thirty six selectees, 2001 married men, are scheduled to note Ans Mountain peat Tuesday for Port train. Notices instruct the group to report to the draft board at 8 Octob Tuesday morning. Read list includes Hubert Gedges Clemmot vo, Vance Cites Wrismt-Vot, William Theodore Weir, Marvin William Upcherch, Robert Ameid Miller, and many others. A fourth registration on Jane will be held at three places Wace Grover and Kings Mountain conducted like prior entrosiments. ages 18 to 20 expected to register.

Plane Spotters to be fingerprinted for Army service

Members of the airplane spotters squad are to be fingerprinted and issued identification cords by the U S Army. Fingerprints will be on the backs of the cords, with Melvin Teever of the local Peace Department organizing. Spotters are to report after 1 PM for fingerprinting as several squad members have been inducted into the Army and vacancies for 104 men or twelve volunteers will be filled.

Americanism Committee To Have Kiwanis Program
