Mrs Hullender Elder Citizen Dies At 90
Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Frances Hullender, 90, longtime resident and member of Central Methodist Church, were held Saturday at the church with Rev. P. L. Shore Jr and Rev. George Lisgle officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill cemetery. She died Friday at 4:30 am at Kings Mountain hospital after six months of ill health. Widow of J. D. Hullender, she was born to Griffin and Elizabeth Sanders and leaves two sons C. W. Hullender of Kings Mountain and Ivy B. Hallender of Gastonia, a sister Mrs. Minnie Cooper of Washington, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lewis B. Peck Sr a twelfth division highway engineer and father of L B Peck Jr will be held Thursday at 11am at Central Methodist Church Shel by with military and Masonic rites. Peck 46 died Tuesday at Shelby Hospital after a heart attack. He had worked for the State Highway Department since 1920 and was a World War I veteran and Boy Scouts Silver Beaver recipient. He is survived by his wife Irene Taylor Peck four daughters two sons ten grandchildren and four sisters.

Funeral services were held for Thomas Watson Sellers, 44, Kings Mountain contractor. He drowned Saturday near two miles above the Buster Boyd bridge in the Catawba River. Life saving crews from Gastonia and Rock Hill assisted in recovery. Survived by his wife Wilma Hall Sellers, mother, seven brothers including Pink Sellers and John Sellers. Born September 9, 1909, he was the son of Mrs. Mra. Geen and the late John A. Sellers.
