They extended a water line to Fulton property, ordered street markers and a York road E Gold street traffic light, estimated McGill Essox Station entrance regrade costs with Standard Oil covering, instructed curbing on Mountain Street to Juniper, and heard a septic tank cleaning bid from Morristown firm McKee while considering state plant recommendations. Stolen Nash Sedan Found Near Brevard
The Nash automobile owned by Mayor Garland Still was stolen early Sunday from the Still residence on North Piedmont Avenue. It was found abandoned on a dirt road about 12 miles from Brevard with slight damage. Ignition wires were connected and the vehicle driven off without a key. no suspects have been apprehended.

Rites Conducted For Mrs Barkley In Statesville
Funeral rites for Mrs A J W Barkley mother of Mrs Edgar Sellers of Kings Mountain were held Friday at First ARP Church Statesville with interment at New Sterling Church Cemetery. She died in an Asheville hospital February 4 after a heart attack a week earlier. She lived in Statesville most of her life and recently with a daughter at Black Mountain. Several sons survive. Freeholders Gamonia superintendent of schools will address Kings Mountain Kiwanis Thursday night at 6 45 at Masonic Dining Hall for Boy Scout night.

Clerk Advises Slow Spending To Avoid City Deficit
