The Kings Mountain Little Theatre presents its 1950 51 season opener Tuesday at 8 pm in the Kings Mountain High School auditorium. Moss Hart and George Kaufman wrote the Broadway hit comedy featuring a large cast under Mrs. Moffatt Ware's direction. The three act farce centers on the chaotic living room of a boarding house where residents ignore convention. The cast includes Sam Stallings as Grandpa Vanderhof and Inez Go forth Jr. as Rheba with a full ensemble. Contd on page eight.

Induction Group Off Wednesday Exams For Seventy Men
Next pre induction call to be filled by the Cleveland County selective Service board will be on December 12 when some 70 men will be ordered to Charlotte for pre induction physical examinations. Mrs Clara Newman, clerk to the board, said yesterday. Some 15 registrants in the 21 year old group will be available for the next call which may dip into the 20 year old group. Next Wednesday the Cleveland board sends 35 men to Charlotte for final induction. The draft process will have to be speeded to supply more men due to the Korean war crisis.

Firemen Put Out Big Grass Fire Near Grace Street
The city fire department spent about an hour Thursday afternoon combating a grass fire between the Southern Railway tracks and Grace Street. Fire Chief Grady King said the blaze stretched about a quarter of a mile and caused only the loss of a few chickens. Sparks from a passing locomotive were suspected as the cause.
